Skellig Bay is a stunning Ron Kirby designed championship golf course. Skelligs Ring Tour
  • Firstly Drive to Ballinskelligs stop at Cill Rialaig Arts Center.Stroll through the Gallery and Gift Shop.
  • Then drive through the Glen stopping and sample the irresistible hand-made brandy and chamagne truffles at the Skelligs chocolate factory, carry on and admire the views of the spectacular Skelligs Rock. Stop for lunch in the Moorings Restaurant in Portmagee a small fishing village over looking the harbour
  • Carry on across the bridge to Valentia Island - Valentia Slate Quarry and Lighthouse, you can drive down to the lighthouse, though the atmosphere is best sampled on foot. The Lighthouse itself was once a Cromwellian fort, guarding the harbour with it's colleague across the mouth of the harbour on Beginnis island. There is a great view of the Atlantic from here. You can drive all the way to the Grotto and Slate Quarry, but it's much more enjoyable to leave the car at the cross road to the lighthouse, the island is also well know for its tropical gardens at Glanleam House
  • Finish off your trip to Valentia Island with a drink in the Royal Hotel which over looks Valentia harbour, Valentia is Europes most westerly harbour and the first telegraph cable was laid across the Alantic from the United States to the Island in 1858
  • Finally take the car ferry across to Renard Point and return to the hotel for a relaxing afternoon tea in our Chaplin lounge.
