Fishing
The hotel can facilitate guests by arranging fishing for Salmon, Sea Trout & Brown Trout on site. This is a superb way to unwind and get close to nature in the stunning valley area. The novice and the advanced can equally part take in this pursuit. Fly fishing is the technique used. Those who are not competent in this fine art of casting a fly can take advantage of an expert guide to show them the way or work on their cast. All you fishing requirements are available directly from the Lodge.
 
Bicycle and walking routes
The Lodge has some bicycles that can be rented out from the front desk. The area has some great cycle routes for example the closeness of the Abbey a trip by bike is a magnificent way to spend an afternoon.The hotel has a walking booklet designed specific for the valley. The booklet uses local historic walking routes such as the western way and the path to the oratory at Mam Ean.Walking guides can be pre booked for groups.
 
Boat trips, Shopping and Golfing
Visitors can tale a boat cruise on the Killary Fjord where dolphins can be seen at times. A boat trip from Cleggan Harbour can be taken to the wonder Island of Inishboffin. Shopping in the area is unique particularly for hand made crafts. Golfing is also available on 3 diverse types of courses (Connemara, Oughterard and Westport)or visit Kylemore Abbey, Gothic Church and Victorian Walled Gardens
 
Scenic driving routes
A scenic drive around the Connemara coast line via Letterfrack, Cleggan, Omey Island ,Sky Road, Clifden, Ballyconneely, Roundstone, Cashel Bay and return to the Inagh valley or drive the short distance to the fishing village of Roundstone; it is a beautiful retreat for a bowl of chowder or walks the many local beaches. Watch the Fishing boats return in the evening with their fish catches.
